Having become completely disheartened by
not being able to buy fashionable shoes &
boots that fit, it became apparent that there
was a gap in the retail footwear market for
a company that would supply womens footwear
for wider feet and in particular boots for
the wider calf. |

Having decided that this might be a good
idea, PlusinBoots Ltd was formed in June
2004 by Deborah Rowland and Nigel Watson. |

This followed months of market research
trying to get a feel for how big the gap in
the market actually was. This research identified
that this was a global problem for western
women, as most retailers only appear to be
interested in supplying to the masses that
are of a more 'normal' fit. |

But what the norm is does not appear to
be clear, it is a fact that women are generally
getting larger, however the fashion industry
as a whole does not appear to be reacting
to this. |

PlusinBoots however is not solely aimed
at larger women, we have found that the market
for wider feet and calves is a problem for
women of all shapes and sizes, this can be
due to them being sporty or just down to genetics
and the make up of our shape. |

We therefore decided on a one-stop shop
which will be available to women globally,
with no boundaries, therefore an internet
based retail website. |

PlusinBoots are currently focusing on
selling branded products that are already
known in the market place, but only those
that fit into the 'wide' criteria. This will
enable us to provide a good range of fashionable,
good quality products to our customers in
one easy to shop environment. |
