Boot & Shoe Care

Your boots and shoes will last longer if you take care of them. Therefore PlusinBoots has prepared some guidelines for you to follow in how to look after your new boots and shoes.

General

  • Regular use of a protector spray will create an invisible shield against water and everyday stains.
  • Wet boots & shoes should always be left to dry naturally.
  • The use of a shoe horn will prevent damage to the backs of your shoes.
  • The use of boot shapers will maintain the shape of your boots when not being worn and prevents boots from bending and causing permanent creases.

Leather Uppers

  • Leather boots and shoes need regular cleaning with a leather cream. A cream will nourish, clean and condition your leather items.
  • Wipe over lightly with a damp sponge and allow to dry naturally.
  • Polish boots and shoes by applying a leather cream.
  • Allow to dry naturally, then buff using gentle strokes with a soft brush, taking care not to rub too hard.
  • To instantly clean and shine leather boots and shoes, use a shoe shine sponge.

.

Suede/Nubuck/Textile Uppers

  • Never apply cream or polish.
  • To clean gently brush off and remove loose dirt and mud, wipe with a damp sponge and allow to dry naturally.
  • When dry, use a suede & nubuck brush to restore the nap.
